1. CHEATING
Any kind of cheating will not be tolerated. Cheating includes:
Fraudulently generating votes, Java script alerts, hit bots, redirecting traffic to Top999 from sources other than the site on which our return link is located.
If we determine that you are cheating your site will be removed.
2. MISLEADING VISITORS
You may only link to us by using graphics and text links that make it clear to people where they will go when clicking on it. Links saying “ENTER HERE” or anything similar are unacceptable. The following are examples of acceptable text links: “Visit Internet Top 999″, “Vote For Us On Top999″, “Vote For Us”. In addition we do not allow misleading links to any other website.
3. BUTTON PLACEMENT
Button to our site must not be placed in a frame or position whereby its visibility or function are compromised. Hiding our button from visitors of your site will get your site removed.
4. NAME And DESCRIPTION
The name that you enter when joining and that appears on the list has to be the actual name of your site. For example putting “FREE Guides And Information” for the name of your site is not allowed. The description must give a general idea about site subject. Do NOT use CAPS, it will get your site removed.
5. ILLEGAL CONTENT
We do not allow our members to have ANY illegal content or allude to any illegal content. No sites with warez, no pirated software/movies/games, no porn/sex.
6. MULTIPLE IMAGES
Under no circumstance will the supplied topsite voting images appear on the same page twice. There is a maximum limit of one image per page.
7. CODE TAMPERING
Under no circumstances will the code supplied to allow impression checking and statistic collection be tampered with or changed with out consent. Please contact the administrators if you wish to change your code.
8. SPAMMING
Spam will not be tolerated. Spamming will get your site removed and banned. Spamming will get your IP/host banned permanently. Spam will be reported on sight to appropriate authorities.
9. SITE REMOVAL
We reserve the right to REMOVE and/or BAN any site at any time without notice at our discretion. Site removal reasons to be given in private via email upon demand.
10. BANNERS
You must submit a banner and it must be no larger than 250 pixels wide and 25 pixels high. It must also display correctly on our site. If there is a problem with your banner we will notify you by email. If you do not correct the problem we will temporally remove the problem but keep your site.
11. CODE INSTALLATION
You must add the supplied code for the vote button on your website site in order to get counted for page loads.
12. LISTINGS
Only the top 10 sites will have their banners shown. All other sites will be shown with text only.
13. TOP SITES/DIRECTORIES
No topsite pages or directory sites are allowed to join. Sites without content will not be accepted.
14. VOTING
We reserve the right to restrict votes from abusive IP addresses for limited time.
15. RULES UPDATES
Current rules might be changed without notification. Make sure you read this page once in a while.
